Under The Bridge goes deeper than the normal idea of crime and punishment associated with child sexual abuse. It tries to explore social and cultural aspects of the society that lead up to the event. The moment of abuse in itself is not enough to understand the psyche of the abuser and the abused. Life does not begin there nor does it end there.
Under The Bridge, explores the build up that leads to the event, the frustration, the desperation, where does it come from? What happens afterwards? It is a bone chilling documentary of violence, grit, menace, guilt, remorse, and contempt.
The series contains in depth interviews conducted by RBD team with the prison inmates serving child sexual abuse charges. Based on these interviews the documentary also contains pictorial representation of the events.
